There is a lot of confusion about what is healthy. We are bombarded with messages on what is the best way to eat. From eating mainly protein to avoiding animal products all together, each one contradicting the other. Our mission at Herbs to Know is to simplify the way we live and eat. Each individual is created uniquely and therefore will require different dietary needs. That is why one diet does not fit all. We believe that as you heal your gut your body will know what it needs to function optimally. Through our website and books we hope to educate others on how herbs and wholesome foods can break addictions, heal the gut, provide nourishment and heal the body, bringing about physical strength and mental clarity. We invite you to join us on this journey to better health!
I am a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. I have been studying about and using herbs since the 1990s. I enjoy sharing my love for herbs and helping others find solutions for their healthcare needs.
I met Annie through Patriot Camp in 2012. We have been friends ever since. When I needed someone to help write my books hers was the name that came to mind. Together we have written both Herbs to Know in the Wild and Herbs to Know in the Garden. She is a wonderful Master Herbalist who knows her stuff. We are currently working on a book for gut health. Back in college I took a powerful antibiotic called tetracycline. Since then I have dealt with IBS. Through following the protocol that Annie and I developed together, I have watched as my symptoms have lessened. Herbs have been a great blessing to my life.
I am a Master Herbalist that found my calling with herbs several years ago when both my son and I had different heath conditions that the medical field couldn't help us with. After a lot of study, prayer, application, faith and inspiration we were able to get to the root cause of both problems and heal. Amazingly enough, they both had the same root cause - the gut.
I then felt inspired to share the knowledge I had gained with others who may be seeking answers to their own health. In 2014, I started my blog, Annie's Place, where I share what I have learned (and keep learning) about essential oils, herbs, home remedies, alternative medicine, gardening, whole foods, temporal and spiritual preparedness, homeschooling, strengthening the family and love for God and country.
In addition to studying and sharing knowledge about health, I also homeschool my four children and continue my own studies with my Mother's of Influence group.
